Ambassador Isaac Essel is a Ghanaian-American entrepreneur, wealth creation architect, and community leader dedicated to bridging nations through business, healthcare, and global investment. He serves as President of Serenity Empire USA, President & CEO of Serenity Global Investment Group, and Managing Director of Adom Clinic in Ghana, which specializes in mental and behavioral health care.
With more than 20 years of experience in Corporate America, Isaac contributed to global brands such as PepsiCo, Nestlé Purina, and Sony Corporation, managing high-profile projects and mentoring future leaders. In 2022, Senator Donzella James appointed him United States Georgia Diaspora Ambassador to the 35th Senate District, honoring his commitment to diaspora investment and cultural exchange.
As the visionary leader behind Serenity Empire, Isaac has been the driving force behind its transformation from one small home into seven thriving senior living communitieswith more on the horizon. His strategic leadership continues to shape the organization’s growth and impact in senior living.
On March 15, 2023, the Georgia Senate recognized his leadership with Senate Resolution 333.
Isaac earned his degree in International Business from Williams Baptist University in Arkansas. He serves on the Board of the Ghana Diaspora Chamber of Commerce, is President of the Young Ghanaians Investors’ Club of Atlanta and is an active member of multiple chambers of commerce across Georgia.
Beyond business, Isaac is a devoted husband and father, passionate soccer enthusiast, car fanatic, and active member of the Douglas County Men’s Fellowship. His life reflects a balance of faith, family, and the pursuit of generational wealth and legacy.

Henrietta Essel is the visionary Empress of Serenity Empire Senior Living, leading a growing network of senior living communities dedicated to exceptional care and comfort. Under her leadership, Serenity Empire has expanded to include six thriving locations,
with more in development.
Before fully dedicating her efforts to Serenity Empire, Henrietta had a distinguished career as Nurse Manager for Centralized Staffing Operations at Grady Memorial Hospital. At Atlanta’s premier ACS-verified Level I trauma center and ABA-verified burncenter, she provided round-the-clock leadership and management, ensuring the higheststandards of care and operational efficiency. During her tenure from 2019 to 2021, shemanaged key departments, including the RN Float Department, Patient Care SupportFloat Department, Discharge Lounge, and Staffing Office, with a focus on excellence inpatient care, human resources, and performance improvement.
Tesha Rainey

Tesha Rainey is a seasoned marketing and sales professional with over 15 years of experience driving census and growth for skilled nursing, assisted living, and hospice organizations. A graduate of Missouri Southern State University, Tesha holds a strong academic foundation in Psychology and Mass Communications, which has informed her innovative and empathetic approach to marketing and leadership.
Throughout her career, Tesha has held various leadership roles, including Sales Director, Administrator, and Regional Sales Director, where she demonstrated a consistent ability to achieve ambitious goals. In 2021, she transitioned to overseeing marketing and communications for a large healthcare organization’s 51 locations, spanning skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, and hospice offices. In this role, Tesha managed social media platforms, website updates, collateral design, copywriting, press releases, and collaborated closely with sales teams to align communication strategies with sales objectives.
Since 2023, Tesha has independently leveraged her expertise to consult with healthcare organizations and small businesses to support their marketing efforts and growth goals. Her solutions include social media management, Google SEO, website development and updates, collateral design, sales plan development, and comprehensive sales training. Tesha’s tailored strategies have empowered businesses to enhance their visibility and drive meaningful results.
Most recently, Tesha joined forces with Serenity Empire Senior Living as their fractional Chief Marketing Officer. She brings her extensive experience and strategic vision to elevate their brand and foster growth to this role. Her passion for impactful communication and her dedication to helping organizations thrive make her a valuable asset.
Akua A. Boachie

Akua Boachie is a mission-driven and goal-oriented marketing and client acquisition specialist with over 10 years of experience in healthcare, staffing, and service industries. With a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from Georgia State University, Akua brings a solid foundation in strategic planning and relationship-building to her role at Serenity Empire Senior Living.
Akua’s career includes work across marketing coordination, sales support, and client operations for organizations spanning
healthcare technology, paper and packaging manufacturing, consumer brands, and national staffing firms. She has successfully designed and managed outreach campaigns, nurtured client relationships to boost retention, and implemented CRM strategies that improved lead generation and upsell opportunities. Her background spans social media marketing, email campaigns, event promotion, and cross-functional sales enablement.
At Serenity Empire, Akua plays a key role in driving outreach efforts, increasing occupancy across communities, and strengthening the brand’s presence in the senior living market. She is passionate about connecting with people and delivering compassionate, people-first marketing solutions that support families in finding the care they need.
Akua also has a personal connection to the senior care space, having gone through the journey of helping a loved one find the right skilled nursing facility. This experience deepened her empathy for both families seeking the best care and the residents themselves, and fuels her commitment to supporting thoughtful, transparent, and respectful placements.
Outside of work, Akua is a self-professed film critic and avid movie watcher. She also enjoys exploring farmers markets, creating new recipes, and spending quality time with family and close friends.
JULIANA E. KPEDEKPO

Juliana Kpedekpo is an accounting and finance professional with over 12 years of corporate experience across public and private sectors. She is currently pursuing a PhD in International Relations at the University of Ghana, Legon (LECIAD). She holds an MSc in Accounting and Finance (KNUST), a B.Com in Accounting (University of Cape Coast), and an HND in Accounting (Ho Technical University). She is also in the final stage of qualifying as a Chartered Accountant with ICAG.
Juliana is the Deputy Director-General (Operations and Benefits) of SSNIT. Prior to this role, she served as District Chief Executive for Adaklu in the Volta Region, where she represented government, oversaw development initiatives, and chaired the District Security Council. She has also held finance and management roles at the National Health Insurance Authority, Ghana Standards Authority, SJIT Company Ltd, Unity Rural Bank, and Advans Ghana Savings and Loans.
Known for her leadership, grassroots connection, and strategic insight, Juliana blends technical expertise in finance with hands-on governance and development experience.

Ava’s professional background includes leadership in program and compliance management, quality assurance development, and the oversight of multimillion-dollar housing initiatives. She has a strong foundation in budgeting, vendor relations, staff training, and contract negotiations.
Completing her Bachelor of Science in Business Management from the New York Institute of Technology with a HUD Housing Counseling Certification, Ava’s qualifications position her to contribute significantly to operational excellence, maintaining regulatory compliance and advancing financial performance across all assigned locations, making her a perfect fit for the Serenity team.
Outside of her professional responsibilities, Ava remains actively engaged in community service, mentoring initiatives, and volunteer efforts that support both senior populations and youth in aviation.
Kazem Muhsen
- Director of Maintenance
Kazem Muhsen, Director of Maintenance at Serenity Empire, brings over 32 years of extensive experience in construction and property management. His expertise spans building residential homes, apartment complexes, and overseeing large-scale projects, including the construction of two churches. Kazem’s hands-on knowledge and dedication to quality craftsmanship have established him as a trusted leader in his field.
Since joining Serenity Empire in 2019, Kazem has worked closely with the organization’s leadership, managing all construction-related projects and ensuring that facilities are maintained to the highest standards. His role as Maintenance Director encompasses not only the upkeep of the organization’s properties but also the strategic planning and execution of renovations and new developments. With his deep industry experience and unwavering commitment to excellence, Kazem plays a critical role in shaping the infrastructure and environment that supports Serenity Empire’s mission of care and service.

Originally born in Jamaica, I grew up overseas and speak multiple languages, which has allowed me to connect with people from diverse backgrounds. With over 23 years of professional experience, I have owned and operated my own restaurant, and worked extensively in hospitals, nursing homes, rehabilitation centers, and senior living communities.
From a young age, I have been known for my kindness, compassion, and helpful nature. I take pride in my strong work ethic, commitment to excellence, and the ability to remain resilient even in challenging situations. As a people-focused professional, I constantly push myself to grow, and my dedication has positively impacted the lives of many individuals under my care.
My passion lies in serving others with dignity and respect, ensuring that every role I take on reflects my dedication to both professional excellence and personal integrity.

Jill Russell-Word has over six months experience as Life Engagement Director at Serenity Empire, developed and implemented a comprehensive life enrichment program to support residents’ physical, emotional, social, and spiritual well-being. Partnered with local organizations to foster intergenerational volunteer opportunities, building a sense of community and independence among residents. Making sure to adhere to safety standards and accurate documentation.
Jill has earned her Associate of Science Degree in Allied Health in St. Louis, Mo in 2009, later on pursued a Batchelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Mo. In 2017. Certified CNA State of Georgia, Medication Technician, PCT, EKG Phlebotomy with National Healthcare Association. Jill has always had a compassion for care within her communities and served as a model for others to follow.
Previously, as a Senior Catering Manager at J&J Catering, contributed to seamless event execution and exceptional client satisfaction through collaboration with the Executive Chef and management of operations. Leveraged skills in program development and team leadership to deliver impactful results across roles. Dedicated to creating meaningful experiences that enhance engagement and promote well-being.

Hello, my name is Reanda Scott, and I am the Food Service Director at Serenity Empire of Marietta.
Cooking has been my passion for over 30 years, and alongside that, I’ve always loved braiding hair a talent and first passion that allows me to connect with people in a unique way. At my core, I love helping and caring for others, and both cooking and caregiving have always been part of who I am.
I was born in Charleston, South Carolina, and raised in a small town called Johns Island, known as the Gullah Geechee Island. I’ve been married to my husband for 13 years, and together we have three wonderful children here with us and one child with Christ.
My journey in caregiving grew deeper when I cared for my mother and sister until their passing in 2019. That experience opened my heart even more to serving others with compassion. Continuing my mom’s legacy, I volunteer each year by organizing Christmas Give-Away Drives and offering free hair braiding to give back to the community.
My love for cooking was inspired by my grandfather and the large family gatherings we enjoyed. I was always in the kitchen, learning and perfecting my craft. Over the years, I’ve been honored to receive recognition, including winning 1st place in Dining Service and being nominated for Employee of the Year.
For me, food service is more than a job it’s about making a difference. Seeing my residents smile, knowing I’ve touched their lives through care and service, is the greatest reward. Having a heart for people and bringing joy to others truly defines who I am.
JOSEPH YANKEY
- MAINTENANCE MANGER
Joseph Yankey brings a diverse background of experience in maintenance, operations, media, and technical services. From 2010 to 2014, he worked with AG Row Senior Living, building a foundation in facility support and management. He then dedicated eight years to Mt. Paran Christian School in Kennesaw, where he served in maintenance and as a studio and floor manager, ensuring smooth daily operations.
Expanding his expertise, Joseph transitioned back into the printing and graphic design industry with Image360 Kennesaw, where he contributed for three years in design and production. His technical knowledge is supported by formal training, holding certifications in Networking and Information Technology, along with diplomas and certifications in Electrical Engineering and Plumbing Engineering.
Joseph serves as Maintenance Manager at Serenity Empire in Marietta Senior Living, where his leadership and hands on expertise help ensure the highest standards of safety, functionality, and comfort for residents and staff. In addition, Joseph brings creative and technical skills to media and ministry work, serving in Burden Studio for Media and Church as a sound engineer.
Jennifer Roberts

Jennifer Roberts is a dedicated healthcare professional with over 26 years of experience in longterm care, patient advocacy, and healthcare regulations. Her journey in healthcare began from a deeply personal place, caring for her beloved grandparents, whose experiences with illness ignited her passion for senior care. Since earning her CNA certification in 1998, Jennifer has continually expanded her expertise, becoming dementia and Alzheimer’s certified, a med tech, and a patient care advocate committed to improving the quality of life for seniors.
Throughout her career, Jennifer has taken on leadership roles, mentoring staff, coordinating care, and ensuring compliance with CMS, HIPAA, OSHA, and other healthcare regulations. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, specializing in Long-Term Care, and has extensive training in MAR, EHR systems, and medication management. She is deeply passionate about personalized, compassionate care, believing that every senior deserves dignity, comfort, and support.
Beyond her professional life, Jennifer has been happily married for over 25 years and cherishes her role as a mother of three and grandmother to three. She loves cooking, hosting family gatherings, and spoiling her grandchildren. Her dedication to caregiving extends beyond her career as she has personally cared for family members battling Alzheimer’s, cancer, and mental health conditions, ensuring they received the love and attention they deserved.

Marietta Veneshia Sanders

Originally from Birmingham, Alabama, Veneshia relocated to Marietta, Georgia, in 2013 to pursue both personal and professional growth. She earned her associate’s degree in psychology from Lawson State Community College in 2010, which sparked a passion for supporting others and creating positive environments. This educational background has played a key role in shaping her approach to both her career and personal life.
Since moving to Georgia, Veneshia has gained valuable experience across various fields, including warehouse logistics, apartment staffing, caregiving, leasing, and customer service. In 2018, she found her true calling at Serenity Empire in Marietta, where she has had the privilege of growing alongside an incredible community. Over the past seven years, Veneshia has progressed from a Concierge/Caregiver to a full-time Concierge, eventually transitioning into her current role as Business Office Manager. In this capacity, she manages the daily administrative operations, financial records, staff coordination, office supplies, and communication between residents, families, and the team, ensuring a smooth and welcoming environment for everyone at Serenity Empire.

Sweet Water Creek Kendra Cofield

Kendra’s journey in healthcare began in 2002, driven by a deep calling to care for seniors. What started as volunteer work in an assisted living community quickly grew into a lifelong and fulfilling career in senior care.
Originally born in Germany to a military family, Kendra lived in Maryland and Virginia before settling in Georgia in 1996. She has called Douglasville home since 1999 and was part of the inaugural graduating class at Chapel Hill High School.
Kendra earned her Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification from West Georgia Technical College in 2013, and further expanded her expertise with a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) certification from Guardian Pharmacy in 2022.
As Wellness Director at Serenity Empire at Sweetwater Creek, Kendra is proud to support the health and well-being of residents with compassion, dedication, and a deep sense of purpose. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, spending time in nature, and bird watching.
East Point Elizabeth Aduse Pokuwaa
